Role Overview – What You’ll Do
The Outside Salesman plays a critical role in generating revenue and building lasting customer relationships. This position involves regular travel within a designated sales territory, conducting face-to-face meetings with both prospective and existing clients, and providing tailored product demonstrations.
You’ll be tasked with identifying new sales opportunities, maintaining detailed records of interactions, and working collaboratively with internal departments to meet client needs. Your success will stem from a combination of communication skills, market insight, and a strong drive to exceed targets.
Key Responsibilities:
🔹 Client Engagement & Sales Outreach
- Travel within assigned territory daily to visit prospective and current customers.
- Conduct scheduled face-to-face meetings to present, promote, and sell products.
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with new clients while nurturing existing ones.
🔹 Sales Presentation & Product Knowledge
- Deliver detailed product or service demonstrations, addressing client questions and concerns.
- Effectively communicate the benefits and features of company offerings.
- Stay updated with the latest product releases, improvements, and industry trends.
🔹 Business Development & Lead Management
- Identify business opportunities by researching potential accounts and evaluating customer needs.
- Maintain a pipeline of leads and follow up regularly to convert prospects into sales.
- Track all customer interactions, deals, and follow-up actions in CRM or sales records.
🔹 Market Awareness & Brand Representation
- Monitor industry competition, pricing, and customer preferences to inform your sales strategy.
- Represent the company professionally in public and private meetings, trade shows, and exhibitions.
- Provide feedback to the marketing team to support brand positioning and campaigns.
🔹 Reporting & Accountability
- Submit daily or weekly sales reports outlining activities, outcomes, and potential leads.
- Report on market trends and client feedback to improve offerings and service delivery.
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets set by the management.
What We’re Looking For:
While we welcome fresh talent, the ideal candidate will have a background in outside sales, particularly in the trading or distribution sector. You must be self-driven, goal-oriented, and capable of handling the demands of a fast-paced, field-based role.
✅ Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (mandatory)
- Valid UAE driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently (up to 75%)
- Basic computer literacy for email communication, CRM, and reporting
- Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and maintain a structured daily routine
💼 Preferred Skills & Traits:
- 1 year of previous experience in field sales, B2B selling, or direct marketing
- Knowledge of the UAE market and geography
- Fluency in English (Arabic or Hindi is a plus)
- Sales-driven personality with a customer-first mindset
- Problem-solving ability and willingness to learn
