🧮 About the Role: Junior Accountant
As a Junior Accountant, you’ll be a vital part of the Finance team, ensuring accurate recording, processing, and reporting of financial data. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced aviation environment while growing your career in finance.
🧱 Key Responsibilities
- Log invoices in the financial system upon receipt, verifying supplier information.
- Return incomplete or incorrect invoices for supplier correction.
- Input accurate data to generate invoices, payment vouchers, and receipts.
- Validate compliance with accounting policies for all entries and documentation.
- Maintain manual and system records of transactions, requests, claims, and reconciliations.
- Handle staff and vendor queries with clarity and professionalism.
- Perform basic reconciliations for:
- Clearing accounts
- Petty cash
- Debtors/Creditors
- Accruals and deductions
🧑🎓 Required Qualifications & Skills
Education
- Minimum: 10 years schooling or equivalent
Experience
- 3+ years in Finance or Accounting
- Experience in Insurance or Aviation is a plus
Skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Attention to detail and high accuracy
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Good written and verbal communication
